There are 3 main ways to claim a Facebook Page:
1. Claim an Auto-Generated (Unmanaged) Page
👉 This happens when Facebook automatically creates a page for your business (for example, from people’s check-ins).
Go to the page on Facebook.
Under the cover photo, click “Is this your business?”
Follow the instructions — Facebook may ask you to verify with:
Business phone number
Business email
Business documents (license, bills, etc.)
Once verified, you’ll become the page admin .
2. If the Page Already Has an Admin
👉 This is when someone else (like an employee, agency, or ex-staff) already manages the page.
Go to the page on Facebook.
Under the cover photo, click “Is this your business?”
Follow the instructions — Facebook may ask you to verify with:
Business phone number
Business email
Business documents (license, bills, etc.)
Once verified, you’ll become the page admin.
3. If You Lost Access to Your Own Page
👉 If you created the page before but no longer see yourself as an admin:
Go to the page and check Page Settings → Page Roles to see if you still have any role.
If you’re not listed, click Find Support or Report Page on the page.
Select Something else → I lost access to this Page.
Provide proof to Facebook if requested, such as:
Business license or registration
Utility bill with your business name
Official business email/domain
Wait for Facebook to review. If approved, they’ll restore your admin access.
With these 3 methods, you can claim or recover your Facebook Page and take full control of your online presence.
